Denise Jeanne Brice was born on 4th July 1928 in Ennevelin, a village located in the "Département du Nord" (France). Chercheur du CNRS, Professeur à l'ISA - Institut Supérieur d'Agriculture de Lille (Université catholique de Lille).
Elle a été présidente de la Société géologique du Nord : 1971, puis 1996-1997 ; présidente d'Honneur : 2023-2025.
