2. Types

"type" (holotype): Pl. 8, fig. 5, thin section N° 1084, J.H. Johnson Collection, Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado (U.S.A.)

type locality: Apache Mts, Texas (U.S.A.)

stratum typicum: Guadalupian, possibly Capitanian (probably from the Capitan Limestone as Johnson [1951] reports the association to a representative of the fusulinid genus Polydiexodina DUNBAR et SKINNER)

3. Diagnosis

original diagnosis (Johnson, 1951): « Thallus long, club-shaped; central stem of moderate thickness; primary branches in bundles of four, regularly arranged in evenly spaced horizontal rows. Branches appear to be thickest near the base and tapering gently to pointed end. Sporangia not observed. »

Measurements (Johnson, 1951):

« Thallus, 15.85 mm. long, maximum width 3.08 mm.; average thickness calcified zone, 0.70 mm; diameter branches (pores), 0.125 to 0.138 mm. near base. »
