Hadrian built the Pantheon, a domed building with walls twenty feet thick to support the stress of a round hole in the middle. It is dedicated to all the gods. At the top of the Spanish Steps is the church Trinità dei Monti. Behind the Esedra fountain the top of the railway station is visible. The guidebooks say that the façade of the cathedral of Orvieto is a triumph of late Gothic architecture. This photo does not do it justice.
