Bruno
R.C. Granier
joined TOTAL in 1991 as a Senior Carbonate Sedimentologist at its
Scientific and Technical Research Centre, Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse,
where he coordinated studies undertaken on Angola
and Libya, and was also responsible for
carbonate studies on France, Qatar,
and Yemen. Previously, from 1987 to 1991, he
worked in turn for the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, GSC,
SCOP6, Société Nationale ELF-Aquitaine (Production), and TOTAL
C.F.P. Bruno holds a BSc
in Sedimentary Geology (1981) from P. Sabatier University - Toulouse, and
a MSc in Geodynamics (1983) as well as a PhD in Stratigraphy
(1987) from P. et M. Curie University - Paris. Since 1995 he has been
seconded by TotalFinaElf
to ADMA-OPCO in Abu Dhabi (United
Arab Emirates), as a Petrography Expert;
he was recently the team leader for a major Integrated Reservoir
Characterization Study. Currently
he is back in Paris where he deals with Congo,
Angola,
etc.
So far (in addition to his
duties) Bruno has contributed to more than sixty publications in the field
of sequence stratigraphy, carbonate sedimentology, diagenesis,
rock-typing, and micropaleontology (mostly fossil calcareous algae).
He is also the editor for several geology-driven web sites.
