The cited phoronid species cannot be referred to Phoronis euxinicola, which from original description seems to be a synonym of the burrowing P. hippocrepia: the possible species may be one of the occurring species in the soft substrates of the Black Sea, i.e. P. muelleri and P. psammophila (see Emig et al., 2003).
